5.2024 – now: Maica Germany Nails & Cosmetics
Currently, I am working as a Marketing & Communications Coordinator at Maica Germany, a well-established nail product supplier based in Berlin with over 15 years in the industry. In this role, I bridge communication between management, customers, and the creative team. I manage schedules, handle client correspondence, and support marketing initiatives by planning content, coordinating campaigns, and creating visual assets that align with our brand identity. My work focuses on finding the right tone for each message and transforming ideas into meaningful communication that strengthens customer relationships and enhances the company image.
Previously, as the Junior Marketing & Communications Manager, I was responsible for customer engagement, addressing inquiries, and developing campaign visuals for social media, particularly on Facebook and Instagram. I supported the planning and execution of digital marketing strategies that contributed to increased brand awareness, customer interaction, and business growth. This earlier role built the foundation for my current responsibilities and gave me a deeper understanding of customer needs, communication dynamics, and long-term brand-building efforts.

9.2023 – 4.2024: Wooga
At Wooga, a leader in the hidden object game market, I have gained valuable experience as a Marketing Visual Design Intern since September 2023. In this role, I collaborated with other members of our Publishing department to create impactful User Acquisition assets, including video content and static banners, that drive player engagement. I crafted art direction briefs, coordinated with external agencies and freelancers, and contributed to brainstorming sessions for campaign visuals. Additionally, I assisted in developing tailored brand content for Wooga. This hands-on experience has equipped me with the skills needed for a seamless transition to a junior designer role.

2022: Research project: >>HTW BERLIN X GIU AS<<
During my internship at the University of Applied Sciences Berlin, I contributed to Bianca Koczan’s “Localizing Design Stories” project, part of a larger academic research initiative. This project aimed to decolonize design and create a collaborative learning platform for international university partners. I designed engaging graphics, coordinated workshops for international students, and managed task assignments using Miroboard. Additionally, I reached out to global universities to establish potential partnerships. This experience strengthened my design, project coordination, and academic collaboration skills, preparing me for future roles in educational and creative projects.

2018 – 2020: Freelance work
From 2018 to 2020, I worked as a remote freelance designer, contributing to movie marketing campaigns in Vietnam. I created a variety of banners and posters and managed content across multiple social media fan pages. This role honed my skills in designing compelling social media content and executing effective Facebook advertising strategies, enhancing my expertise in visual design and digital marketing.

2017 – 2022: University work
Book illustration & typography: Her (2013 movie)
Through this project, I was granted the chance to conceive and design a book on a subject of my choice. After careful deliberation, I opted to create an illustrated book centered around the film “Her” (2013), directed by Spike Jonze. Working with Photoshop, I crafted all the illustrations, while using InDesign to integrate typography elements. This project marked my first experience assuming end-to-end responsibility, encompassing all aspects
from inception to completion. I found the process immensely rewarding and enjoyable.

Animated short film: A dream
WAY-FINDING SYSTEM for children’s exhibition: Leitsystem für eine Kinderausstellung
This project entailed a demanding and time-limited venture, in which students have to deliver a comprehensive outcome within a one-week timeframe, culminating in a presentation on Friday. Throughout an intensive four-day period, I gained valuable experience in developing a conceptual framework for a fictional exhibition, encompassing route planning and conducting thorough research to create a comprehensive wayfinding system.

BACHELOR THESIS ‘THE TALE OF KIEU’ – a graphic novel
My bachelor project encompassed the creation of a graphic novel inspired by the famous Vietnamese epic poem titled ‘The Story of Kieu’. Given my profound passion for illustration and longstanding aspiration to delve into graphic novels, I intentionally chose this subject matter as the focus of my thesis. Engaging in extensive research and exploration, I found great satisfaction in discovering the boundless possibilities in storytelling and narrative illustration. Furthermore, this provided an invaluable opportunity to deepen my understanding of the historical context and evolution of the graphic novel medium, an area of keen interest to me.
